Triangle or Quebec Bee Escape |

Similar to and less complicated than
the Vortex Escape
(but also less effective).
The three pieces are identical 275 mm long 18 mm wide with 30 degree ends. All gaps are 9 mm, covering is 8 mesh. See diagram below.
Some people use 12 mm square stock to make the three sides. The returning bees cluster on the centre of the underside of the mesh, but the cluster never gets large enough for the clustering bees to find the exits.
There is also a type known as a Double Quebec Escape.
