Materials, consumables and equipment including made up slides, microscope slides, coverslips, mountants, stains, chemical reagents, hardware and slide boxes can be obtained from the suppliers listed.

Microscopes themselves, illuminators and accessories, along with calibration and repairs are among the facilities available from the suppliers and some of these have a range of second hand items.

Some of these suppliers also provide "made up" ready prepared slides and specimens of bee parts. These can be helpful for lectures, but are obviously more costly than "rolling your own".

My home made slides may not be as pretty as the commercial article, but like all beekeepers I am a skinflint, they cost little to make and that makes up for their lack of quality.
